Retail Team:

Our café is open for business, 20 hours a day between the hours of 6am – 2am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We serve around 4,000 customer each day. We employ 68 hourly employees who are supported by 6 supervisors and 3 managers. It is a fast paced work environment with a diverse group of colleagues from all over the world working together in service of our fellow co-workers, customers and visitors.

JOB SUMMARY:

Using appropriate customer satisfaction techniques, disburse and collect cash for merchandise or services provided to customers; keep accurate counts to prevent lost revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs approved cash handling responsibilities.

  • Operates cash register with over/short cash percentage within acceptable range.

  • Assumes responsibility for other food service duties.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE - (NOVICE): - Demonstrates the ability to influence customers. Knows how to verify and clarify the needs and expectations of customers. Responds quickly and efficiently to customer service requests. Participates in and conducts meetings with customers. Keeps customers informed of status via standard reporting techniques. Meets the continuing service needs of a customer group, including requests for changes in work content. Responds to customers with an appropriate level of urgency, energy, persistence and tenacity.

FOOD REPLENISHMENT (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): - Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with food replenishment.

POINT OF SALE (POS) (NOVICE): - Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate Point Of Sale operations in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments. Has retained equivalent knowledge from past experience.

CASH DRAWER BALANCING (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): - Has received training and has a solid understanding of the cash drawer balancing required regarding work assignments. Adheres to the established procedures and methods within the work area.
