Medical Assistant The Villages at Vanderbilt
The Vanderbilt Neurosurgery clinic is looking for an
energetic Medical Assistant with a positive attitude to join our team. If you
enjoy fast paced patient contact but can also learn the administrative role of
the front desk, this might be a great fit for you. Our Medical Assistants keep
the clinic flow moving, ensure our supplies and care environment are in order, assist
nurses with patient records, and call patients about appointments and
medications. We are searching for an individual with problem solving skills and
initiative who communicates well in a team setting.

Shifts/Hours: Days Monday-Thursday, half day Friday. May required travel to another clinic on occasion. Mileage reimbursement between clinics.
Your Role: Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assist with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team. High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and < 1 year relevant industry
Medical Assistants will be required to have a certification from one of the VUMC approved MA programs.
