Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital is accepting applications for a Mental Health Technician for our 3 rd shift (11pm-7am) in a full-time role (40 hours/week). In this role, and under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform safety rounds, observations, and other duties to admit and discharge patients. You will provide psychological, emotional and physical care and support required by each patient. The duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the RN and performed under his/her supervision. Care may include helping a patient bathe, transfer, or eat; accompanying a patient to the ED or to an appointment; communication and teamwork is critical and must be carried out in a kind, positive and helpful manner with patients and staff; monitoring patients during shift change; and other patient care duties.

Essential Elements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
